The agreement between us.

1. The service

Ritual helps you focus by letting you block distracting apps on your iPhone — on demand, on a schedule, or as a sealed session you can't break on impulse. Ritual uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks to enforce these blocks.

You are responsible for the apps you choose to block, the schedules you create, and your overall use of the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ritual. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms.

3. Subscriptions & purchases

Ritual offers a free tier and an optional Ritual Pro upgrade. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

3.1 Plans

• Annual Subscription — US$29.99 per year, with a 14-day free trial for first-time subscribers.
• Lifetime — US$59.99, one-time purchase, no recurring charges.

Prices in your local currency are shown at the point of purchase and may vary. Apple may adjust prices in your region; we will surface any change before it takes effect, where required.

3.2 Free trial

The 14-day free trial is available to first-time Annual subscribers only. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your Apple ID will be charged the Annual subscription price at the end of the trial.

3.3 Auto-renewal (Annual subscriptions)

• Annual subscriptions automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Renewal charges are made to your Apple ID account within 24 hours before the period ends.
• The renewal price is the same as the original subscription price unless you have been notified of a change.

3.4 Cancellation

You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device, or directly in the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Pro features until then.

3.5 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund for any Ritual purchase. We do not issue refunds directly. We have no access to your payment information.

3.6 Lifetime purchases

The Lifetime tier is a one-time purchase that grants Pro access for the lifetime of the App on your Apple ID. If the App is discontinued, Lifetime purchasers will be notified at the email address associated with their Apple ID (we do not have access to this — Apple sends the notification).

4. License

Codeful grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Standard EULA and these Terms.

You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use the App to violate any law or to harm others
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the App

5. Family Controls & Apple Screen Time

By using Ritual, you grant the App permission to use Apple's Family Controls, Screen Time, and Device Activity frameworks on your behalf. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings — doing so will disable Ritual's blocking features.

Ritual cannot block apps that Apple does not allow third-party apps to manage (such as Phone, Messages, or system apps).

6. Your content

Ritual does not host or transmit user-generated content. The schedules, app selections, and history you create stay on your device (and, optionally, in your private iCloud account).

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that blocking will work reliably under all iOS versions or device states. Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks may change, and Ritual's behavior depends on those frameworks working as designed by Apple.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codeful is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event will Codeful's total liability exceed the amount you paid for Ritual in the twelve months preceding the claim, or US$50, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that harms us or other users.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Cancellation of your subscription is handled through Apple as described in Section 3.4.

10. Updates

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via the App Store listing. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved in the courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

If you are located in a jurisdiction that grants additional consumer protection rights, those rights apply where required by law.

12. Apple App Store terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Codeful, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.

To the extent these Terms provide for usage rules or restrictions less restrictive than the App Store Terms of Service, the App Store Terms of Service take precedence.

You acknowledge that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them against you.
